Capturing images is only half the work, and far too often we neglect to work on our editing and post processing skills to the same degree as we work on our skills with the camera. This class aims to give you the skills and knowledge to feel confident in photo editing software to create final images that are ready to be printed and displayed or shared on socials. We'll be going over how to import images, what is a preset, the function of the basic panels within Lightroom, how to edit lighting, colour, cropping and levelling, and more advanced techniques like dodging and burning, masking, and most importantly, how to export and save your edited images.I'll send out some test images so we can edit them together, if you have your own images you'd like to ask about please feel free, as always there will be time for questions throughout.

Learning to "see" interesting detail is a practised skill and we introduce you to easy methods that will open your photographer's eye and expose you to a world that is alive with detail. The most rewarding part of the class is learning how to approach interesting people and have them willingly pose for you.We will also go over settings, focusing techniques and lens choices common to street photography to help us capture those random chance encounters. If you have any difficulties or new to street photography, please don't be afraid to ask questions.

A more relaxed meetup style class, with plenty of time to go over any questions you have about photography in general.

We'll be looking at how to shoot with intention and grow out skills in all areas. We'll be discussing portraiture, landscape, architectural, macro, and any other genres that come up - we're limited by location of what we can shoot in practice.

The theme is fixed focal length - you don't need to stick to that, but if you want a theme for the class, it's primes! Zooming with your feet, and forcing yourself to stick to a focal length - you can always change lenses too!

Bring along your cameras, a coffee, and something to ask about!

I'm new-ish to exploring drawing and painting as a way of enriching my retirement, some 50 years after giving up art at school as it wasn't possible to combine it with other subjects I was instructed to do. I now recognise that my life, and my heart need the relaxation, the focus, the inspiration and the sense of achievement that painting brings. This drawing is of my fiance - it's not just a passion for art that I've found in my golder years! It made sense to me to draw a face that I love as my

My art journey with Grace has been an incredible experience. She was originally intended to be a quick study of a white horse done in soft pastel. Little did I know, my vision was failing. I had developed cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration which all seriously compromised my vision and my color perception. I found myself struggling with proportions and balance which ultimately caused me to go to the eye doctor. My treatments have been successful and despite the many prior errors I was

Title or Location: The Canyon Dancer
Entirely made from recycled hay baling twine, "The Canyon Dancer" is a free spirit from the canyons of the Midwest. She twirls celebrating the traditions of her ancestors in this flowing organic form. Harding's work rejuvenates tradition basketry with a contemporary take for the modern audience. There are no fixatives to create these forms, only the tension of the twine sewn in concentric circles.
